The Challenge

Volkswagen needed an automotive configurator that went beyond static images — one that delivered true-to-life 3D car models with authentic materials, interactive exploration, and real-time customization directly in the browser. The project demanded a fully immersive vehicle configurator experience, complete with photorealistic environments, Augmented Reality integration, and community features that drove engagement across their model range.

Virtual Studio

We developed an interactive automotive configurator for mobile and desktop using VisCircle’s proprietary WebGL technology. This vehicle configurator lets users explore all car models available on the Mexican market in real-time 3D — including features like trunk loading, hotspot interactions, animated sequences, X-ray views, simulated driving, and browser-based Augmented Reality.

ID.3 Studio

When the ID.3 model was launched on the German market, we developed the ID.3 Studio for Volkswagen, adding accessories which could be attached to the car model and the ID.3 lifestyle collection of products. A full 3D background campaign environment was created for staging the model.

Marvel Ant Man Campaign

For the cross-marketing initiative of Volkswagen with Marvel’s Ant Man movie “Quantumania” we created a 3D web page featuring the movie’s main character and with the Volkswagen ID.4. The 3D experience contains car customization, character scaling, interactive driving and Augmented Reality

Volkswagen R Studio

The Volkswagen R brand for high-performance vehicles has more than 6.5 million followers on social media. We developed solutions that incorporate specific interaction features for the R community and fans of the brand with sharing features for high reach and viral marketing.
