About the Customer
Schickling Grill is a German manufacturer that designs, produces, and sells its high-quality grills directly to customers. The entire production process takes place in-house, ensuring the “Made in Germany” label truly reflects the craftsmanship behind their products.
The Challenge
Offering customizable options, Schickling Grill allows customers to tailor their grills to their specific needs. Our task was to develop a 3D configurator seamlessly integrated with Schickling’s existing Shopware e-Commerce system. It was important to create detailed 3D models and materials that captured every aspect of the barbecue grills, while ensuring optimal performance and fast loading times across devices, especially on mobile phones.
The Solution
We developed 3D configurators for seven different barbecue grills, each featuring detailed models, animations and interactive options. We implemented functionality allowing users to save their grill configurations for future reference or easily share them with others.
This solution provides an immersive and intuitive experience, aligning perfectly with Schickling Grill’s vision of product personalization.
The Additional Value
The shop integration went beyond configuring grill options and calculating prices. We extended it to allow users to select and add compatible accessories for a seamless checkout experience.
Additionally, we have informational hotspots directly on the 3D grill models, which open windows with content pulled from Schickling’s web server. This dynamic content can be updated independently by Schickling at any time, ensuring up-to-date information.
